ATM anniversary
Our Barclayguards saluted and celebrated in style to mark the 50th anniversary of the world’s first ATM.
In their bespoke jackets and hats, our guards certainly stood out, drawing attention to the celebrations and interacting with the public. Barclays installed a special gold machine which passersby were encouraged to use. Then, of course, there was cake and photo opportunities.
The event was covered by national press including The Guardian and Reuters. Broadcast coverage included BBC London, ITV News and TRT World.
